This was created in Indesign for Junior Studio. The project required the class to develop a concept map that was able to concisely explain a topic of our choice in depth. The project expanded my views on concept maps and their creation. It required considerable research and refinement to reach a level in which people could easily understand its flow. It allowed me to advance my skills of organizing large amounts of information to be easily interpreted. This project also broadened my view on type parings through my attempts to establish a differentiation between categories subcategories and linking terms.

Diagram: Analysis
This project was to breakdown an image of our choice and analyze its design in relation to works from periods throughout design history. I chose to make a two layered poster explaining the influences of earlier design on the creation of a popular Bon Iver poster. It first displays the portion of the Bon Iver poster alongside the name of the period or a style from a period in design history. Under the first layer there is an explanation of why there is a connection alongside a visual example of work from that time period. This poster displays the knowledge I gathered over the duration of the History of Graphic Design course.

Cognitive Map
This was the last map I designed in the series of Personal Geography. It was meant to display and chart my detailed thoughts from the moment I wake up until I reached Tuan's class. It like the other maps was supposed to make us design a group useful icons and symbols, that would more specifically convey what we were thinking and feeling.

Artifact Map
This is the first map in a series of 3 maps I created detailing my journey from my apartment to school each morning. It was a simple yet fun design that used color and symbols to convey a rather direct route from one place to another.

This was our first attempt at placing a certain amount of needed information into a limited of space, as well as our first attempt at the program Illustrator. It required us to use hierarchy and gird layout of text to convey information, while simultaneously an aesthetically appealing poster.
