This was a motion piece designed in After Effects for Advanced Typography. It is displaying different organization methods and the transition between them. The weather starts out in numerical order and then proceeds to switch to date and lastly alphabetical order. It was created in Indesign and based off real temperatures from those countries the week it was created.

Instructional Design
This project involved creating clear and concise instructions on how to do a simple task. The project it self didn't have very many limitations in the ways of structure or medium choice, so decided to design a product that I thought tied in with my task relatively well (which was "How to Tie a Tie"). I designed a Pocket square with the instructions place in the middle, so that the person would be able to take it out and follow it when need but could also hide it in there pocket as a legitimate part of their attire. I also created the packaging and logo for my product ( as shown above) that would make it demographically more appealing to the costumers.

Cognitive Map
This was the last map I designed in the series of Personal Geography. It was meant to display and chart my detailed thoughts from the moment I wake up until I reached Tuan's class. It like the other maps was supposed to make us design a group useful icons and symbols, that would more specifically convey what we were thinking and feeling.

Artifact Map
This is the first map in a series of 3 maps I created detailing my journey from my apartment to school each morning. It was a simple yet fun design that used color and symbols to convey a rather direct route from one place to another.

Found Materials
This project required us to explore the creation of a font using found materials. It used a trial and error process to close in on a material that created the most interesting font style and then we were required to pick a name for the font and place it in to a setting that tied in with its theme.

Critical Mass
This was our first attempt at using the program After Effects. The project required us to first explore the creation of textures and designs using a scanner. From that we were to create an allegory of a scientific process and incorporate those scanned images and textures into a video piece. Through the use of my scanned items I came up with the scientific method of reproduction, though when it came to creating the video I decided not to incorporate the scanned texture. I instead created them through illustrator , which my professor deemed acceptable.

Scales
This project that dealt with the experimentation of different styles. Each week we were required to briefly study a style and then mimic that style through iterations, using a class image bank. We were also given a list of short prompts or questions to answer through the creation of a composition. These scales as they were called were meant to be studies and were meant to allow us to explore our skills with using the programs Photoshop and Illustrator

Symbol Methodology
This process centric project in which we had to create three symbols based on a single concept of choice. (my choice was telecommunication) We combined images and concept ideas and then refined the iterations in to simple icon designs.

Scavenger Hunt
This project was to show an understanding of basic design concepts of shape, pattern, texture, color, and line. We were required to take six photos, each one mimicking a certain concept contained in the one before it.
