Diagram: Analysis

This project was to breakdown an image of our choice and analyze its design in relation to works from  periods throughout design history. I chose to make a two layered poster explaining the influences of earlier design on the creation of a popular Bon Iver poster. It first displays the portion of the Bon Iver poster alongside the name of the period or a style from a period in design history. Under the first layer there is an explanation of why there is a connection alongside a visual example of work from that time period. This poster displays the knowledge I gathered over the duration of the History of Graphic Design course.

Comparison Paper : The Value of an Object

This was a paper written comparing Andy Warhol's Campbell soup cans to Marcel Duchamp's " The Fountain. It was written to show the parallel between the use of everyday objects in these piece but also to display the differentiating messages behind each objects use and their individual meaning to the Dada and Pop Art movements. It incorporated a great portion of the information learned when studying both Dada and Pop Art through out the History of Graphic Design course. It was also the first time I had to design around a paper rather than turning it in word document form, it posed very challenging to display the information in a way that fit the central theme behind the paper.
