East Side Part 1: Motion

This was a motion piece designed for Graphic Design III. It is the first part of a two part piece focused on the economic clash seen in east austin. It was created in After Effects and the vector drawings of houses were my interpretation of photos taken by myself and classmates during our field work in east austin.

East Side Part 2: Book

This book was designed for Graphic Design III. It is the second part of a two part piece focused on the economic gap seen in east austin. It was created in Indesign and features similar vectors as seen in its partnering motion piece. It was my first attempt at perfect bound book binding and creating a cover. The book is split into two separate books that meet in the middle and allow you to choose which side of the east austin the viewer wish to see, either the rapidly growing economic growth or the celebration of culture present , it is completely up to the vantage point the viewer chooses.

Activity Booklet : TASA

This book was created for Advanced Typography. The book is supposed to illustrate a book someone who had never been to Austin would receive before attending the TASA convention on St. Edward's Campus. It taught us how to take considerable amounts of predetermined information and organize it in a manor that functioned as a guide, incorporating multiple schedules , Biographies , lecture descriptions and a map of campus.  It was my first attempt at creating an portable book that required certain amount of information to be compiled and organized in a more legible form.  It was created with Indesign and bound saddle stich with two tone coloring of light teal and black.

Type Specimen Book

This is a type specimen book showcasing Futura Std font that is meant to display our understanding hierarchy and  a grid system of displaying information affectively. I focused on the circular aspect of the Futura font and exaggerated that.
